On July 4th, the United Kingdom gears up for its general elections with a groundbreaking twist: among the candidates for Brighton Pavilion in Parliament is AI Steve, an Artificial Intelligence making waves in politics.
AI Steve was created by voice assistance company Neural Voice, whose chairman, Steve Endacott, will be the politician physically sitting in Parliament. Through AI Steve, citizens can share their opinions on Endacott’s policies and converse with him. They can also grade his policies from 1 to 10, with a policy that gets more than 50% approval being passed.
If elected, AI Steve would be the first AI to hold public office. According to Endacott, AI is not replacing humans but allows more people to connect with politics. You can try out AI Steve for yourself by clicking here on its website.
